Paige Monette, as a member of Leadership Sandy Springs Class of '07 and Optech Monette, LLC sponsored and donated the first "Flag Retirement Boxes" of Sandy Springs, GA. The boxes were designed and painted by North Springs High School, Riverwood High School and BSA Troop 463 of SSUMC. The boxes were presented to the city and placed at the 3 fire stations in Sandy Springs. BSA Troop 463 were handed the keys to the boxes and named the "Official Flag Retirement Stewards of Sandy Springs".

Abernathy Greenway Linear Park
	On Feb. 11, Heritage Sandy Springs teamed up with the city of Sandy Springs, Optech-Monette, LLC and the North Fulton Master Gardeners to rescue dozens of plants from the future site of the Abernathy Greenway Linear Park, located on the south side of Abernathy Road, between Roswell Road and Johnson Ferry Road.
