City of Milton, Georgia

City of MiltonIn 2006 the citizens in North Fulton County, GA, adjacent to the incorporated City's of Roswell and Alpharetta, GA, voted to incorporates, creating the City of Milton. With a population of over 20,000 covering a geographic area of 40 square miles, this rural community represented challenges as a "new city" because it is truly a diverse community consisting of a broad mix of rural horse farms and newer golf course communities. Its citizens take great pride in maintaining the quiet, rural nature of the community and the quality of life it represents. The new city officials also hose the engineering firm of CH2M Hill as their program manager, to assist in leading their new government.

Under CH2M Hill's guidance the various city departments were set up and established; ordinances adopted, a police and fire department was founded and qualified staff hired to fill all these new responsibilities. Optech Monette, LLC (OMLLC) was again selected by CH2M Hill to participate as the prime subcontractor in providing Public Works services to the citizens of Milton. With the kickoff of the new city government on December 1, 2005 Optech Monette was again working for CH2M Hill as part of their new project team in Milton. OMLLD staff report to the CH2M Hill Senior Management Team with their direct accountability to the Milton City Manager and elected officials.
